Welcome to Certified CareDoula®

You want to be there for people, Certified CareDoula® shows you how.

Certified CareDoula® is a guidance system for people like you who KNOW they have the gift of serving the dying and want help developing it with a training they can trust. Inside the program is a place where you have a step by step tried and true method to follow, where you are not second guessing your thoughts daily.

It’s a program that leads you to focus on the essentials of serving the dying, the art of the practice and all of the issues involved from when treatments begin to stop working through early bereavement. And there is a thorough training as well on the ins and outs of building and running your private practice if that is what you want. It helps you ignore the assorted bells-and-whistles that pull your attention sideways when you should be going forward. You don’t need different or new, you just need what works.

Whether you are brand new to creating a practice or you’ve already taken your first steps, this is the place for you.

It’s a no nonsense, jam-packed, no-frills, distraction-free environment where DOING is prioritized above KNOWING. You already know you are good at this and that is not enough to get you off the ground unfortunately. AND the accumulation of knowledge plays no part when it comes to building a service. That means you need to take action to get the right stuff to build it. Period.

Winging it doesn't work with this service. It's too important.

More impact. More service. More relief of suffering. More focus. In just a few short weeks from now, when you are using the proprietary –and alarmingly simple– CareDoula® Methodology–you’ll exceed even your own expectations in feeling secure that you have all you need now to do this.

You see, there’s a huge problem with getting what you need out there.

Most training is basic, good but basic.

What is mostly offered are programs that are basic foundation principles of 'serving' the dying (which most of you already know). At the end of the day, what most people do not know is how to expertly structure and develop a safe, private practice.

So what so many people end up doing is piecemealing their professional development through a variety of sources. And they must also devour continuing education of the art of the practice however they can get it (usually through articles on the internet) unless they have access to end of life mentors.

Please understand me; I think a variety of trainings are useful. I’m in several. I’ve also run several. I’ve spent (and collected) thousands of dollars on (and from) trainings.

But you must have these 2 things or you won't get anywhere:

  1. A proven development system to build a structure from tried and true methods based on many years experience actually providing the service. Otherwise you'll get stuck in indecision.
  2. An 'awareness protocol' complete with an array of practical tools to support and sharpen your greatest tool—YOU—as you are often in the midst of great suffering. Otherwise you'll burn out.

CareDoula® is a super-streamlined, super-economical system that fits INTO your regular work, that takes NO time out of your week (going to classes and meetings), and that truly keeps you focused on your service and business goals.

I'm Deanna Cochran.

I’m on a mission to equip the serious

end-of-life practitioner to build their service

to reduce suffering at the end of life.

I’m the author of "Accompanying the Dying," the creator of Impactful Emails and the CareDoula® School of Accompanying the Dying. I train and mentor end-of-life educators, practitioners, doulas and healthcare professionals all over the world.

I’ve led workshops and seminars and spoken on the stage from NYC to Maui. In 2015, I began testing the impact of the CareDoula® Methodology for 2 years with people studying independently. I was blown away by the results. On their own, without my LIVE
mentoring
, they STILL received the transformation with my direction via this delivery system. They got what they needed because my system is that good and that thorough.

So this is a personal invitation to you right now. This program is on and off the market based on enrollment (I pace enrollment; I dont jam pack people in for the $). I take customer service VERY seriously!

... and right now, we are OPEN!

I’ve custom built national end-of-life doula programs.
And I’ve trained and mentored countless healthcare professionals and holistic practitioners and
non-medical people to do one thing: create a private practice to serve the dying and reduce suffering at the end of life.

But enough about me. Let’s talk about the Certified CareDoula® Essentials.

Let's get you started in your new life today.

First off, it’s for the serious person who wants to bring relief of suffering, reduce fear and help
people get what they need at the end of life.
It is for anyone who has the passion for this end no matter where they serve or how.

That means it doesn’t matter what niche you’re in or which industry you serve.

This WILL work for you.

What Does Certified CareDoula® Value?

CareDoula® encompasses some of my most important life philosophies.

If you share them, you’re probably in the right place.

Responsibility. The buck stops here. I AM the end of the line.

Results. I don't stop until EVERY single option is exhausted (which is rare).

Joy. Get what you need personally & professionally to serve in joy.

Simplicity & Focus. Keep the main thing the main thing.

This is a space for  A C T I O N.

You’ve got to come to the table, trust you belong at it and make a commitment when you join today.

That commitment?

To not talk yourself out of being in the world the way you are envisioning right now (because of whatever made up reason is in your head).

Live your authentic life. Step by step, I encourage inspired imperfect action. If you think too long, you may find yourself asleep. NO!

Dream and Take Action!

Most Important

"I was uncertain if I was able to take on such a task. Your class gave me the tools I needed to serve the dying, and the confidence to be able to serve. Starting a business is a bit scary but I am now confident I can succeed. Working with you has been a pure joy! It has truly changed my life."

Small Group Learning

The Biggest Question Most People Ask:
What Can an End-of-Life Doula Earn?

Most End-of-Life Doula make between $25-$200 per hour, and most falling between $45 - $75/hour within that. The next biggest range is between 75 - 125/hour and the 3rd biggest range is from 25 - 45/hour.

Keeping our example very conservative, if you had only a 3-hour session at $45/hour ($135 session), you would see a return on your investment with only 10 sessions!

College tuition can be thousands of dollars with little hope of a job let alone satisfying your desire to reduce suffering and change the face of dying.

Yes, this is a wise investment when you select Certified CareDoula® for your personal and professional goals.

"I have felt the ability and strength to do this work most of my adult life but now, after taking this beautifully designed course, I know I was made to do it. I’ve had the tools the whole time, but your experience and direction has offered a structure to put all the technical details in order. I’ve mentioned before that I am not a technical person so this course has helped me tremendously. I feel I have a foundation to build upon now rather than standing in a murky pond knowing what I need lies beneath the surface but not able to see it. It’s so much clearer now. It gives me great comfort knowing I have the section material and my responses at my finger tips for reference to easily and often refresh myself."
- Sara W.
"I love how this course integrates the medical, the alternative, the compassion-based, the intuitive, and the spiritual sources. I have loved the readings…and the other resources. The case studies…have given me more "experience," even though it is not on-site. Of course, what is underscored is the uniqueness and preciousness of each individual. Everyone is distinct, but there are still general guidelines I can follow when being with/accompanying a patient and his/her caregiver(s)…I love the thoroughness/rigor of the program."
- Lee F. W.
"I think your authenticity and transparency is invaluable as a leader. You are so available to us “students” whenever we need you and that says oodles about YOU. You are truly here on earth to serve. I can feel you and I see you.  Working with you has helped me to align myself with that feels right to me in this work. You confirmed in me what my passions and gifts are. Getting validation from someone with your knowledge and experience in this field has changed me forever. I truly mean that. I didn’t know being a “Death Doula” was even a thing. I now know 100% what my purpose is. Thank you for all of your time and the energy you put into this program. You are changing lives."
- Tiffany Anne R.
“This time with you has really helped me appreciate where I am as a Doula…Time to make a new vision board to reflect my growing income and client base.  I’m on fire because you lit it.  I feel empowered, inspired, and ready to go!! Thank you, thank you!…Deanna, you are a creator, business developer, master-minder, saleswoman, coach, trainer, Doula, mentor, manifestor and more! Super talented!...”
- Esther M.
"I was uncertain if I was able to take on such a task. Your class gave me the tools I needed to serve the dying, and the confidence to be able to serve. Starting a business is a bit scary but I am now confident I can succeed. Working with you has been a pure joy! It has truly changed my life."
- Burneace D.
"My life is so naturally flowing and completely full right now. Thank you for your guidance through this new birth of my path.  The most important part of your course for me has been the self care part. If I hadn't done that work, I would be spreading myself quite thin now. I am a recovering 'Yes' person, and although sometimes I feel like I should be helping more people, I feel really good and energized when I wake up in the morning."
- Janet M.
"All I knew before I began Deanna's programs was that I felt an intense yearning to be of service at the end of life. I had very little experience in this realm and wasn't even clear what this work looked like. Deanna saw my earnest desire and welcomed me into what has become deep and meaningful work. Being mentored by Deanna has been a life-changing gift! I watched my skills and intuition in this work, grow, deepen and flower. Serving my community as a death doula and grief coach I see how those of us working at the threshold are shaping our collective experiences with death and grief. Deanna is a fierce and loving warrior in this cause and I am honored to be with her on the path."
- Simon F.
"I recently retained Deanna to provide some professional guidance for me regarding my thoughts on moving forward toward developing my own business. I have a broad background, but lack the many varied seemingly qualifying letters such as RN, PhD, LLC, etc. I trust Deanna and was immediately heartened when she said 'Sarah, no more qualification is needed. Your credentials and experience are enough!' Within our hour together, she helped me to narrow down and focus on the viable business paths I have to pick from, but which I was unable to see and arrive at on my own. I highly recommend anyone who is in need of professional guidance to retain Deanna. My money and time was wisely invested in Deanna and I will continue to work with her as I further develop my business and services."
- Sarah L.
"I like the teleconferences and stories from personal experience, all the well researched reading material, and Deanna's coaching and 'pep talks'. I think the Accompanying the Dying course is very well organized...and even though it's a LOT reading, at least I have all the links at hand when I want to go back and reread them later. Some I've only been able to skim thru now, with the intention of going back over them. It's a much wider body of info than I first imagined. And there's so much to think about. This course has certainly raised my awareness...and I thought I already knew a lot! Thanks to visionaries like yourself, I think our culture is finally dealing increasingly better with the many death and dying concerns."
